ALABAMABUCKEYE

          After eight weeks into the season this years NFL seems to be full of surprises. Who would have thought that the Colts would have turned in an 0-8 record thus far? Then we had the Bolts lightning quick start only to be diminshed by their surprising losing streak! Many questions have to be asked at the halfway point. Are the Jets destined to fail this year? Are the Bills for real? What is going on in Dallas? Is there going to be a team that "Lucks Out" and loses all their games for the number one pick in next years draft?
      
           But the real question that has to be asked is which conference is the BEST this year? Could it be the NFC NORTH with Green Bay destroying teams but Minnesota bringing up the rear? Minnesota is starting to show some signs of life now! Or maybe it has to be the AFC NORTH with the stron Defenses of Pittsburgh and Baltimore and the surprise Bengals at 5-2? This division has nineteen (count it..19) wins already! All four teams in the AFC NORTH are ranked in the top FIVE defensively!

           My homer pick says the AFC NORTH wins this argument hands down. It is defense that wins championships. Remember the Chicago D with the Fridge?
